He worked for a number of shops through his career and is currently one of the top techs at Vibe Car Audio in Red Deer, Alberta. Achieving Top 50 Installer status three years in a row, Christopher is focused on being the next Canadian Installer of the Year.

CMA INTERVIEW

Q: What made you get into car audio as an installer?

Christopher: My love of cars and music mostly, but it’s in my blood… I knew early on it was going to be my passion.

Q: Where did you go for your internship as an installer?

Christopher: I started at Advance Electronics and worked with 12 other installers. Four of them were IASCA and USAC competition winners and they taught me proper installation standards and techniques. That’s where I really started to learn my craft.

Q: How many shops have you worked for?

Christopher: I’ve worked for 7 different shops in my career.

Q: Are there any installers/fabricators that inspire you?

Christopher: Too many to mention… I’ve learned something from virtually every installer and many have become good friends.

Q: What is most important to you when designing a system for one of your clients?

Christopher: Making sure that when someone opens up the vehicle that they see the attention to detail and that it looks like factory.

Q: Do you have any favourite music styles or artists?

Christopher: I have a huge spectrum of musical styles I really enjoy.

Q: Are there any brands of equipment you really like working with?

Christopher: Focal, JL Audio and Kenwood because they’re solid products that don’t have issues and sound amazing!

Q: Have you ever competed or judged in car audio competition?

Christopher: When dB Drag first started years ago I was a judge for a short time.
