A long time customer asked us to create a show stopping sound system, and we aim to please! Since the factory Toyota Tundra speakers are an oversized 6×9 we made adaptor plates out of coroplast so that they won’t be damaged by moisture. To help create the best mid-bass response possible, we sound deadened the outer door skin and then created a sealed membrane with Cascade VB2. In the rear doors we added a subtle tweeter pod onto the our speaker adapter to help with the rear imaging.
This finished box was amazing!! On each side of the box was an extra battery and some power distribution. To obtain the amazing sound quality we knew our customer was looking for we utilized the Helix DSP Ultra. The fit and finish of these speaker pods we built to give this customer an amazing sound stage was incredible. Toyota Tundra’s should come stock like this!!
Finally, to help with connectivity we installed the Alpine PerfectFit head unit. DSP controllers don’t have to be ugly!!
