The dB Drag Canadian competition circuit kicked off on June 27th. This marked the first major dB Drag racing event since Covid-19 hit the world. This particular event is of great importance because it is one of the first five 3x (triple point) events of the season. With being one of the first five 3x events the competitors at this event would have the potential to set the first of the seasonal world records. We had a great turn out with almost 100 people coming to the event. There was a mix of new and veteran competitors, along with a ton of spectators. The event was well received as we all exercised safety precautions to ensure that we are doing our part to keep the Covid-19 curve flat. There were many great runs through the lanes, but the one that stands out the most for me was Team Mini the 2019 dB Drag Racing World Champion in Psychone No Wall with a combined score of 401.3. There was a personal best for the SPL portion of the Psychlone contest. Fingers crossed this will be a good enough score to start the season off with a world record. The event ran 12 noon till 6pm with contests in Psychlone, dB Drag Racing, Bass Race, Top Dog, and Hairtrick. It was a great start to the season, let’s all get out there and support as many sound off events as possible. Everyone play it loud, have fun, and stay safe.
