iBeam – The Retail Solid Connection for In-vehicle Safety

Upgrade vehicle safety features with iBEAM^®! This workshop will teach you how to install an aftermarket camera into the OE location of a 2020 Jeep^® Wrangler as Metra’s team demonstrates the ease of iBEAM’s backup camera replacement kit installation (JP-JLKT). Next, we install iBEAM’s rearview mirror with a 4.5” monitor (TE-RM45) and a behind-the-license-plate backup camera (TE-BPLTC) into a 2017 Dodge Ram. This workshop will show the entire process, start to finish, including how to wire the camera. Since the taillight wiring on these specific trucks doesn’t provide a solid 12volt connection for reverse, this video will also show installers how to use a relay for the trigger using Install Bay’s mini relays. This workshop teaches you how to route the wiring, the importance of clean wiring, soldering, and making proper connections. To finalize the installation, you’ll see us testing the camera working with parking lines shown on the rearview mirror monitor.
